Example 6 - The Pacific

The Pacific

The opening title of the film, I like this shot because of the coal pen breaking off when it is being dragged along the page, it’s a nice close up

Then after a bit you are able to see the picture that is being drawn with the coal. It is taken from an birds eye view, but upside down so that you can’t really tell what it is yet

Then you are able to see the picture the right way, and you can tell it has something to do with war, I like this shot because of the way art it is very special

Then the picture fades into the real world, which I think is a really cool affect, and would like to somehow add this to my final piece

You can see in this shot of the coal pencil shading on the ground and in the sky, this is a nice touch, as it looks like the art is coming to life

I like the way that there is a red blotched all around this shot, the first thing that comes to mind is blood drops. This is very nice against the black and white back drop

I like the detail that you can see in this shot, it is the piece of coal stick and is very zoomed in, and so you can see the texture of the stick

I like how the war and the stick of coal are put together and made relatable, I think this effect is very nice and it is a nice way of going from one scene to the other in a specialised way
